Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 25 October 2026. The simple rules that keep ShaneHub hosting and email safe, fast and trusted for everyone.
Lawful content only
Don’t use ShaneHub to host, send or link to anything illegal, to infringe anyone’s copyright or trademarks, to commit fraud, or to pretend to be another person or business. You must have the rights to the content you host and send.
Security
Don’t distribute malware, run phishing pages, try to break into systems, attack other networks or harvest other people’s passwords. Keep your website software, plugins and passwords up to date.
No spam: only email people who asked to hear from you, and make it easy to unsubscribe. Don’t use misleading sender names or subject lines. Bulk marketing email should go through a dedicated email-marketing service, not your mailbox.
Fair use of resources
Plans are for normal websites and businesses. Don’t run anything that uses an unreasonable share of server resources, like crypto mining, large file-sharing or backups of other systems. “Unmetered” and “unlimited” are covered by this fair-use rule.
What we do if something’s wrong
If something on your account breaks these rules or puts others at risk, we’ll usually contact you first and help you fix it. If it’s serious or urgent, we may suspend the affected service straight away to protect other customers, and tell you why.
Reporting a problem
See something on a ShaneHub-hosted site or email that breaks these rules? Email hello@shanehub.com with the details and we’ll look into it.
